Hard Drive Fried

Got up this morning to seeing that my desktop hard drive is fried. Gone. Wont come back up. UGH!
We tried and tried to get it to work and got nothing. Went to best buy to get a new one and it is now 11:11 P.M. at night and I'm FINALLY back online. Had to reinstall EVERY.LITTLE.THING. Talk about a PITA.
The sucky thing about it. We had over 2G of music and probably as many pictures *sigh*
We're going to have a friend of ours who knows alot about computers to see if he can recover any of the stuff that was on there. UGH UGH UGH
