Movie Quote Monday
Here is my quote for the day:
Every time Catherine would turn on the microwave, I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for about half an hour.
Oh, I was just smelling - smiling. I was just blouse - browsing. I, uh, heh heh. Well, I guess it just wouldn't... Oh hee hee, it wouldn't be the Christmas shopping season if the stores were any less hooter than they - HOTTER than they are. Whew. It is warm in here, isn't it?

December in Pictures
I thought I would share our December so far through pictures.
This is the gingerbread house we decorated:
In a town by ours, there is a church that puts on a live Bethleham every year. It is the neatest thing. The "Bethleham" is pretty darn big. They have all these different houses and shops to replicate how Bethleham was during the time when Christ was born. So you walk through it and check everything out, then at the end they have baby Jesus. It is amazing.
Waiting in line. The line took us almost an hour to get in. There were SO many people.
We finally got in and the place was just so awesome.
Chloe and Brooke got to pet some chickens and hens
I took this picture from atop of a spiraled staircase that led to a jail.
Chloe and Brooke putting their hands in stalks
Ladies doing basket weaving
Walking through the city "shops"
They had a place full of animals. Camels, donkeys, rams, sheep, ect.
Chloe was deathy afraid of the Roman Soldier!
When we finally got to baby Jesus...the atmosphere changed dramatically. People were quiet, reverent. It was very touching.

In a Funk
I am not entirely sure why (maybe just a little). But I know one thing is for sure. Being in a funk sucks. I've gone over it quite a few times in my head and here is what i've come up with.
1. I don't like my body. I am feeling really fat these days. I haven't been taking care of myself. I have been eating whatever I want. Whenever I want and it is catching up with me. I could blame it on the fact that I am nursing and you need that extra 1000 calories or however much they tell you. But, I have been chosing the not so good stuff to eat. I can just feel it in my body that I need to eat better things. The holidays make it hard though. There is always stuff just sitting out, being delivered by neighbors, ect. I think this time of year makes everyone want to jump on the "I am going to lose weight next year" resolution group. I am betting i'll be one of them.
2. I'm tired. Just plain tired. I know most of attributes to what I've just written above, but I think it goes beyond that. Problem: Mr. Jack. He is still not sleeping through the night. The last week or so, he's been waking up 2 times in the night again. He is almost 10 months old! The kid just needs to start sleeping ALL night. Some nights I just want to let him CIO, then I feel bad letting him cry. It's a no win situation. BLAH!
3. Christmas and Monday. Seems like there never is enough. Money that is. I KNOW that money is not the meaning of Christmas, but it sure causes me enough stress. Stuart just needs to get paid (tomorrow - woohoo!) so I can finish my shopping and relax. I am all kinds of tensed up about it and it sucks. Money sucks.
4. I need a vacation. Seems like every 4 or 5 months I start feeling like I need to get away from my family. It wont happen for quite a long time, but I just feel like I need it, ya know?
Okay, I've just vented a lot huh? It felt good to get it out there though. I am sure that after the holidays are over i'll feel better about a lot of things. okay. venting over. carry on.

Growing Old
I can't wait to grow old. Wait a second. YES I CAN!!
Observing the elderly lately makes me never want to grow old
Except for this one:
I was at the post office yesterday and there was an old couple off to the side filling out some paperwork. I had to package up something, so I was sorta next to them. All of a sudden the woman says "Don't talk to me!!!" to her husband. It was full of meanest, anamosity (yeah, I'm sure that didn't get spelled right, but who cares), hatred and annoyance.
I just had to laugh. Oh yeah, and I was also laughing at his incredibly BAD hair. He had BLACK hair, obviously dyed and a really white beard. Maybe she is just angry because she had to be seen out in public with him. I guess we will never know.

Where am I??
I have no clue!! I am neither here nor there. In fact, I'm not anywhere!
Things have been pretty busy in my house since Thanksgiving. We went up to Kansas to spend Thanksgiving with some of Stuarts family and we had a blast!!! Chloe and her cousin Tyler spent every minute together. All the kids spent most of their time outside riding dirt bikes, 4 wheeler, go carts and a golf cart with the daddies. That left alot of time for mommies to shop and talk! It was great!
Once we got home there was alot of unpacking, cleaning and event planning! I had a Relief Society Super Thursday to get out of the way and then I spent a bunch of time making our Relief Society Progressive Dinner invitations. 160 of them! That was a ton of work.
We also got our Christmas tree up and decorated our house! The kids had so much fun decorating the tree. Jack doesn't bother it too much like I thought he would. It's high enough that he can just crawl right under it. It is funny.
I can't believe how time is just flying. Monday kinda suck because I clean and do laundry that day. blah. So, I probably wont do Movie Quote Monday today, but I'll make up for it next week!
I hope everyone is having a great day and I'll try to think up something clever to write up for tomorrow!

Spreading the sickness
Yup. I'm guilty.
Last friday night I started sneezing up a storm, runny nose and didn't feel right. I thought it was just my allergies starting up because I get them bad here in the winter months. Me + Cedar don't really get along well at all. It is one of those one sided relationships. Cedar loves to irriate me, I would love to kill off the species. Alas, my symptoms were not of the allergy relation. Nope, I got sick. Wokeup Saturday not feeling good and it went down hill from there. Aches, chills, fever. You name it. I was down for the count like I had been TKO'd by Rocky.
I had it for a few days. Started feeling better, in fact - I'm pretty much over it except for a cough, but I spread the sickness.
Chloe said to me yesterday morning, "Mom, your so mean to get us all sick."
Mean indeed.
Now all 3 of my kids are sick - wait all 4 of my kids are sick, because you all know how husbands get when they are sick. I do not need to elaborate on that.
I just put my kids in bed. Before I took Chloe's temp and it was 102.3 *sigh* Let's hope they all kick it soon and we can get back to our regularly scheduled life.

"Mom, I'm all about corvettes."
My husband is really into cars. Especially cars of the classical period. He used to own a '63 belair. His dad has a '56 corvette. They love cars.
So, were at a stop light today and we are next to a new yellow corvette. I say to Chloe "Chloe, your gunna need to tell daddy that we saw a cool yellow corvette today"
C says, "yea, I really like corvettes, especially pink corvettes, daddy said that when he gets a corvette he's going to take me in it and show me how it really goes."
me, "oh yeah, that will be fun"
C says, "Mom, I'm all about corvettes"
*insert eye roll here* My daughter is 4. Soon to be 5, but still 4. She has already asked for a cell phone, now she's saying she's all about corvettes.
Heaven. Help. Me.

Trunk or Treating - Happy Halloween!!
Bumping this post up from the other day since it is Halloween!
Happy Halloween everyone! Stay safe and get lots of good stuff!
Every year my church puts on a trunk or treat. It is a neat SAFE way for the kids to trick or treat. I don't have to worry about checking thier candy. Its all in one place. Everyone knows my kids, so they can't get lost, or if they do, they know her. and, it's FUN! It starts with a carnival for the kids with fun games. Chloe and Brooke did the eating the donut without using their hands. It was HILARIOUS! Then on to the annual chili cookoff. YUM! Chili and cornbread. mmmmmm. Then trunk or treating. We decorate our trunks and kids come around to each to get candy. SO fun. Here are some pics!
